11th June 2021

Dear parents and carers,

Welcome back. We hope you all had a restful half term in the superb weather we were given.

Striving for Success

As part of our learning this term, we have been looking at how we and others can develop the skills to learn how to be successful. Mr Conway has invited the Paralympic, David Hill to both our schools. The children have prepared lots of questions and they are looking forward to raising funds to part fund his visit and to part fund the schools in building a resource bank. They will bring home a sponsor form this week, please support them as best you can, every little helps. Cash will be accepted in an envelope on this occasion then quarantined when it arrives into school. Many thanks.

We are also very proud of our children’s progress in striving to become a “single use plastic-free school.” Perranuthnoe class have been studying the litter/waste at school and on the beach and have found that over half of the plastic is related to lunch and break snacks. Please help them to reduce by thinking carefully about what you are providing as a snack. Healthier options such as fruit, crackers, home-made snacks, not only have the health benefits but also tend to be more environmentally friendly with less packaging.

REMINDER – Please could you ensure that you apply sun cream to your child before school and put a bottle in their bag for a lunch time top up and at the same time send a coat…. We never know what the weather is doing from one day to the next so it is best to be prepared for all weathers. Could you also ensure your child has a water bottle with water only in it.
