Welcome to Poldhu, we are years 5 and 6.
Our teachers are Mrs Nicholas, Miss Willoughby and Mrs Winter. Miss Fauchet teaches for Mrs Nicholas on Fridays.
Our topic for the Autumn term was Warfare through the ages. We learnt how warfare has changed before focusing on World War II. We also learnt about Remembrance Day and why we remember WWII.
Our topic for the Spring term was Oceans and Seas. We learnt about where oceans and seas are located and the difference between an ocean and sea. We also learnt about time zones. Looking at the oceans, we will learn about the different zones, before starting our independent projects.
Our topic for the summer term is How Sustainable is the Economic Activity of the UK? We will be looking at farming, water use and energy generation amongst other areas. We will also be preparing for GreenPower and our summer production.
