Dear parents/carers,

COVID UPDATE
Although we are not quite out of the woods yet, the picture in Cornwall is presently looking positive.
There have only been 26 new cases of COVID-19 across the county in the past 7 days and there are
presently 2 people in hospital with a Covid-related illness. This gives us a case ratio of 5.8 per 100,000
which is the 3 rd lowest in the country (only Cumbria and Sunderland above us). Of our 560,000 adult
population, 345,000 have had their first vaccine and 220,000 of those have also had their second.
Although there have been variants across the country from India, there has not been a massive surge in
hospital admissions in the affected areas so it is likely that we will move to the next stage of the
roadmap on 21 st June 2021. This data was presented by our Public Health adviser yesterday.

FRIDAY CELEBRATION ASSEMBLIES

It is always lovely to see parents and sometimes grandparents join us on Zoom for our Friday morning
whole school assemblies. Staff put the links onto Seesaw at the beginning of each half term as a
reminder for you, after half term they will do this weekly. Please join us if you are free at 0930 on a
Friday morning, your children would love to see you there.

Have a lovely weekend
